Don Calvin, Bill Obrock, Josh Prater, and Nathan Thompson got to know each other in the workplace: they're all employees at Forever Studios in St. Louis, where they specialize in a unique documentary-style approach to video production. "Through the years, we've evolved into a fluid, cohesive team accustomed to overcoming obstacles," says Calvin, a project director for the company. "We are each highly competitive by nature and routinely face down challenges that our competition would never dream of taking on." With that kind of attitude, extending their collaboration to Red Bull Soapbox Race was a no-brainer.

The teammates, while fierce in their determination, also have a softer side that is evident in the theme of their entry. "We acknowledge the connection that some of the world's most talented Blues musicians have had to St. Louis through the years," Calvin states, explaining that they've christened their racer "Lucille" (think B.B. King's guitar) in homage. As if to emphasize the dual nature of his team, he combines ruthlessness with nostalgia in elaborating, "We've been planning to crush the competition at our beloved Forest Park, which has withstood the test of time – the park where as children we played and explored, and where we now take our children."
