First Step - select a team:

COD-SAC EXPRESS

Garage Headquarters: Milledgeville, GA

Driver: Trey Britt

Mechanics: Dave Urode and others to be announced

Nuts and Bolts:

The members of Team Cod-Sac Express possess valuable experience in building human-powered vehicles. As participants in Red Bull Flugtag Miami, they built an aluminum, plastic, and vinyl airplane that boasted a 20-foot wingspan, yet weighed in at a mere 80 pounds. The most unique aspect of the craft was an ingenious cable system that enabled the pilot to steer (something rarely seen in Flugtag contests). The ambitious group didn't win at South Beach, but when they heard about Red Bull Soapbox Race, they recognized an opportunity to apply their design innovations on a new type of vehicle – this time, one for which steering is key.

The teammates are Georgia Southern alumni who own and operate restaurants, bars, and nightclubs in the Peachtree State. Besides making sure that customers have a good time, their collective interests run to such things as extreme wakeboarding and flight school. "Cod-Sac Express," the name of their Flugtag entry as well as their Red Bull Soapbox racer, is a nod to national recording artists Two Cod Sac (a founding team member is the group's private chef). The Georgians are stoked to head to St. Louis for the big event. As they like to say, "Try everything once!"
