The members who make up The Paramount Bombers know a thing or two about putting on a show. They do it several days a week as employees of the Seattle Theatre Group, a not-for-profit performing arts organization dedicated to operating Seattle's historic Paramount & Moore Theatres. The majestic Paramount Theatre, which was built at 9th and Pine in 1928 by Paramount Pictures, hosts not only movies, but also musical acts and a few surprises here and there (the Tonight Show’s Ed “Here’s Johnny!” McMahon is scheduled for the night of Seattle’s Soapbox race). The Paramount’s towering street marquee serves as the inspiration for the STG building services crew. But because of the expected length of their soapbox, turning may be difficult. “Watch out below!” warns team captain Brian Layton.
