Team Saget
Garage Headquarters: Seattle, WA
Driver: Jason Lipczynski
Mechanics: Damion Rossman, Tracy Allen , JR DeMartino, Bryan O'Neill
Nuts and Bolts:
What do bike frames, brewmeisters and Bob Saget have in common? They have all played a part in creating what Team Saget promises to be a winning soapbox entry. The Elysian Brewery in Seattle has a full house with employees Tracy Allen, JR DeMartino, Jason Lipczynski, Bryan O’Neill and Damion Rossman on the job. When they’re not peddling pints, these guys are united in one goal: producing a paper maché masterpiece to take to the streets on September 29th!
Lipczynski describes the team’s inspiration for the craft: “Bob Saget and Mad Max came to us like a beam of light from the sky – something rarely seen here in Seattle. We will capitalize upon this grand vision with a wrought iron garden car, a few used bike frames, one faulty bullhorn and the best paper maché Bob Saget head ever!” As for their skit, expect to hear Gary Glitter’s opus set to the “Lord Humungus” scene from The Road Warrior. No word yet on whether Uncle Jesse, Joey, DJ, Stephanie or the Olsen twins will show up for support, but Team Saget’s keeping the passenger seat open.
