The Artists Republic of Fremont (ARF) team may be building a circus-themed fire truck as their Red Bull Soapbox racer, but Nathan Arnold, Norma Baum, Maque daVis, Dan Goodman, Jon Hegeman and Chris Huson aren’t clowning around about their craft’s message: Where have all the Fremont artists gone? The team members, all performers in the community’s Cirque de Flambé, Fremont Players and Fremont Solstice Parade, are longtime fans of the neighborhood’s creative outlets, but lately they’ve seen a loss in the numbers of artists joining them. So how do they plan on encouraging their fellow entertainers to express themselves? They’re gonna smoke ‘em out of the buildings with their runaway clown fire truck and a screaming siren of course!

Even if the team doesn’t set a speed record, with performers like these on board you better believe the skit’s going to be good. Spectators will be treated to a special musical performance as they watch the fire truck lose its bearings and careen down the track. However, revelers shouldn’t try bopping any big red noses as they fly by – this is one group of clowns who take their craft very seriously.
