Respect My Authority

Garage Headquarters: Lutz, FL

Driver: Aaron Price

Mechanics: Eric Clark, Jonathon Gillespie, Pat Floyd, Eric Yetter

Nuts and Bolts:

Aaron Price, Eric Clark, Patrick Floyd, Jonathan Gillespie, and Eric Yetter are just the tip of the Respect My Authority iceberg. Including all the people behind the scenes, the team’s members number about twenty. “We range from musicians to engineering consultants, and we met in various ways, from hanging out in bars to attending church,” says Aaron, who will pilot the team’s racer down Tenth Street. “We’ve been together for about ten to twelve years, and with the diversity and size of our crew, we’re often mistaken for some kind of club.”

If these Florida-based folks did have a club, everybody would want to join. They love fun, adventure, and good times, like vacationing together or attending Red Bull Flugtag Tampa – a crazy event that inspired them to enter the race in Atlanta. They’re building an oversized Big Wheel for their vehicle, which will be supported by a skit based on the “South Park” characters. The exact details are top-secret, but you’d better believe that Team Respect My Authority is going to try to do exactly what Brian Boitano would do: in a word, win.
