The folks at Cantoni Atlanta pride themselves on serving the area with its primary source for modern and contemporary furniture. And they’re equally proud of their in-house design consultants, who have the uncanny ability to find the right solution for every situation. In fact, the members of this talented crew are so accommodating that on August 29 you won’t even have to go to the Cantoni showroom on Monroe Drive to see their design – they’ll be bringing “Cantoni To Go” right to the people on Tenth Street.

Of course, what you see may only be a blur. Brett Huckabee, Lorna “Big Red” Hunter, Erin Mason, Kohl Sudnikovich, and Mercedes Williams have every intention of holding their own in the hotly contested Red Bull Soapbox Race. But Lorna, the team driver, is happy to fill us in on the details. “Our pre-race skit will be performed to Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You,’ with all of us playing guitars and such,” she explains. “And our racer is going to recreate that classic old ad for Maxell audio tape – where the guy in the lounge chair gets blown away by music… Except I’ll be the guy, and that’ll be real wind in my hair.” She laughs and adds, “First, however, we’ve got the challenge of getting five designers to agree on what materials will work the best!”
